We develop new product and service offerings, isn’t that innovation?

Yes, it is a form of innovation. But the type of innovation that occurs in most corporations is incremental. These are new features in existing offerings or new products and services in immediately adjacent fields. Rarely can corporations achieve leaps of innovation due to their conformance with their existing processes and procedures. DIAL Ventures seeks to achieve large advances and broad industry impact that can feed back and benefit our corporate partners.

What kind of innovations are we talking about?

DIAL Ventures is focused on broad positive impacts across the whole food and agricultural supply chain. We see the quickest way to innovate is to focus on communications gaps and inefficiencies through digital (primarily software) solutions. As appropriate, our software solutions will enable and/or leverage off-the-shelf hardware and established agricultural and food science solutions.

How can our company work with DIAL Ventures?

There are many options. Your company objectives may resonate with a product concept we are pursuing in our studio cohort. In that case, you may simply want to participate as a subject matter expert in advising our Innovation Fellows on the product and service choices they make. The highest level of participation would be to be as co-investor in our venture studio fund, in which case, you provide overall strategic direction in our industry forums and benefit financially in achieving a return on the growth of the startup companies that we launch.
